I loved all the
twists and turns in this book! Cynthia did a great job here.
Angelica Riley
heads west to be a Mail Order Bride, as she is ready to move on from her 1st
husband’s death. Her husband to be is a
Mr. Jared Winslow and her travel is normal until the last leg. On that leg she
meets a man Clay Stockton. Clay becomes obsessed with Angelica right away. Angelica
wants nothing to do with him.
Jared Winslow is
the current U.S. Marshall in the Nevada Territory. He should be trying to clear
his mane in Chicago, but he ordered a bride. As soon as he meets Angelica, he
knows it is right and becomes protective of her. They both want a family and a
home. He does tell Angelica about his past and that him and his friends are
working on clearing his name in Chicago.
When there is a murder
in town of a woman that looks like Angelica, Jared and his friends step things
up to keep her safe. Can and will they be able to stop anyone from hurting or
killing her? Is this something from Jared’s past and will it help or hurt? Can
Angelica and Jared work together to come through all this?
