Amanda Brides of the Oregon Trail 7; by Cynthia Woolf

Amanda

Brides of the Oregon Trail 7; by Cynthia Woolf

I again enjoyed this book by Cynthia Woolf.

When a woman signs up to be a mail order bride, she is never sure who will be waiting for her on the end of the trip.  This book has a twist to the mail order bride story that had me pulling for the man I really wanted her to end up with.

Amanda Winters was engaged to be married once but her fiancé ran off with another women and left her by herself. Not sure what to do now she chooses to become a mail order bride. She is going by wagon train to Oregon City and has made a new friend with the other bride (Jeanie) she is traveling with.  The Groom Jeanie was to marry was also traveling with them in the wagon behind them. Jeanie meet some other man and broke things off with Jamie.

Jamie Kilbride ordered a mail order bride and went to meet her and bring her home to Oregon City. However once there and they are getting ready to go his bride changed her mind and wanted someone else. He was good with that has he had just met the woman he wants. This woman’s name is Amanda, the traveling mate of his ex-mail order bride. Now he just needs to convince Amanda that he is the better choice for her.

As they travel Jamie learns Amanda is engaged to a man named Lewis Baxter, and he knows that Lewis is a very evil man. He tries to warn Amanda, but she is set to meet and marry Lewis. However, Jamie has put doubt in Amanda’s mind about Lewis so she going to tell Lewis she wants to wait and get to know him before they marry. Lewis is not good with this plan and attacks Amanda saying now she has no choice but to marry him. Jamie finds out about the attack and is willing to do anything to keep Amanda safe, as he has fallen in Love with her.

Will Jamie be able to keep Amanda safe? Can he also get Amanda to marry him and fall in Love with him? Will Amanda be able to stay alive and maybe find a happy every after life?
