I love how Michael and
Nicole grow together and work through their fears. He wants so badly to protect
her, and she wants to not be alone anymore.
Nicole Wescott came to
Seattle to start new and run from her secrets. At one dance she meets two men,
and both appear interested in her, but one leaves right away and the other
stays in town. She likes them both. She had no idea that one will be everything
she wants while the other is worse than any nightmare or secret she may have.
Michael Talbot was is not sure about women. His fiancée married another man. Now single he rides to tell his brothers of the change, only to be roped into a meeting with the mail order brides. He meets Nicole and thinks maybe but one it is too soon, and two he needs to get his home built. When he comes back to town a few weeks later one for supplies and two to ask Nicole to marry him he hears she is to marry another. However, when he is in the stables he hears soft sobbing. He checks on it and finds Nicole beaten up and is told it was by Clay the other man.
Michael asks Nicole to marry him and tells she he will keep her safe. She agrees, they marry and then the trouble comes. Can they survive and stay together?
