This is a cute story. It is not my favorite Cynthia D’Alba book, but I did like it.

So, when Trevor Mason’s ex-girlfriend needs a bodyguard she calls him. He accepts, and the fun begins.

Dr. Risa McCool is a very rich and very successful breast cancer doctor. She left Trevor when he joined the SEAL’s. Now she needs a bodyguard for the multi-mullion neckless she is going to wear at the breast cancer fundraiser. She turns to her ex-boyfriend who is now retired from the SEAL’s.

When Trevor sees Risa for the first time in 15 years he feels like it is the first time all over again. Now he just needs to remember to keep his hands and other parts to himself.  He also starts to ask if she loved him then and if she might love him now.

Risa is not sure that having Trevor around is a good idea now that she has seen him again. She wants him all over again. Why did they break up before??? Can she trust him again with her heart?  Can Trevor keep her safe?

John Thorpe is looking for a wife that has good moral character. Lena feels she will fit the bill as long as you don’t count what her mother does. Lena was raised in private schools all her life. Her Mom is a very well know madam in New Orleans.

John and Lena grow close after they marry, but there are secrets between  them that are about to come out. It is how they deal with this that will determine if they can keep their marriage together.

I love how Michael and Nicole grow together and work through their fears. He wants so badly to protect her, and she wants to not be alone anymore.

Nicole Wescott came to Seattle to start new and run from her secrets. At one dance she meets two men, and both appear interested in her, but one leaves right away and the other stays in town. She likes them both. She had no idea that one will be everything she wants while the other is worse than any nightmare or secret she may have.

Michael Talbot was is not sure about women. His fiancée married another man. Now single he rides to tell his brothers of the change, only to be roped into a meeting with the mail order brides. He meets Nicole and thinks maybe but one it is too soon, and two he needs to get his home built. When he comes back to town a few weeks later one for supplies and two to ask Nicole to marry him he hears she is to marry another. However, when he is in the stables he hears soft sobbing. He checks on it and finds Nicole beaten up and is told it was by Clay the other man.

Michael asks Nicole to marry him and tells she he will keep her safe.  She agrees, they marry and then the trouble comes. Can they survive and stay together?

Cheated on, Dumped and now single Dr. Jennifer Pierce has an up and coming wedding that she is the Maid of Honor for. Her ex-fiancé and his new wife (the woman he cheated on her with and she is pregnant) will also be there as he is the best man. It is a destination wedding in the Caribbean and she really doesn’t want to go by herself. The problem she doesn’t have anyone to take so she turns to her brother for help. She can’t believe she has no other options.

Nicholas Falcone, aka Nikko works with Jennifer’s brother at an accounting firm. Her brother thinks he should work for her date to the wedding. Nicholas is a retired SEAL trying to figure out what he wants to do next in his life. He is going to night school and would love an all expense vacation. So, her brother approaches Nikko.

Dr. Jennifer Pierce meets Nikko and he agrees to be her date. She is not sure this will work but she needs someone to be there with her. He is on board. Now feelings start to emerge, can this be real or will it all end when they get home?
