If I Were You by Lisa Renee Jones
This book starts with a couple of school teacher that are
off for summer break. One purchases a
storage shed that the owner has not paid their bill. When she runs off with her
boyfriend she gives the shed and all the contents to her friend Ella. As Ella doesn’t want it and she starts to
look for the owner of the shed Rebecca. This leads her to getting a job at an
art gallery owned by Mark Compton and she meets Chris Merit an artist.
Ella is now in Rebecca’s world and is not sure whom to
trust. Chris can’t stay away from Ella
and try’s to help her learn this new world.
Mark wants her to learn about more than just art. There is an underlining battle between Mark
and Chris and Ella is in the middle. The
more secrets she learns the truth the more secrets and questions come.
Can Ella keep up with this new world she is in? Will she have to pick between Mark and
Chris? Will she find Rebecca?
I enjoyed this book but I did have a hard time keeping
becoming involved with the emotions of the charters in this book.
