When I Need You (Need You 4) Lorelei James

Oh My GOSH! Lorelei just keeps writing awesome books! I LOVED IT! This is a can’t miss book, (but that also means you need to read the first 3 books now.) I am one of those people that don't normally read a book start to finish (I have 3 boys I have to keep up with) but I read this on straight through (my kids had to wait).

Everyone has their rules for life. Jensen “The Rocket” Lund is no exception, He has three big ones when it comes to dating:
1) No single mothers
2) No cheerleaders
3) No medical personnel
He is one of the hottest football players right now and is also an heir for Lund Industries. These rules have worked good up until now.

Rowan Michaels also has rules for dating or should I say one rule (A BIG ONE):

1) No Football Players
She has worked hard to get to where she is. Her life is being an athletic trainer, Vikings cheerleader, and a Mom. She has already “landed” a pro athlete (she thought he loved her). Her young son is proof that football players and fidelity don’t go hand in hand. When Rowan takes over her brother’s apartment while he is out of town she learns her new neighbor is Jensen Lund. She knows who he is but he doesn’t know her.  

The more Jensen gets to know Rowan the more he is thinking about throwing out is rules. Now he just needs to convince Rowan to do the same. She is going to hold tight to the team’s strict “no fraternization” policy. She doesn’t want to get her or her son hurt because of Jensen.

Lanie Barrett lied to her dying Aunt. She spins a story of a happy marriage for her Aunt Ruby, especially since her beloved Aunt would be heartbroken to know the truth. Trouble is that now she and her husband need to move home for her to keep it, at least according to the will. Did I tell you that they have to live there 3 months or the house and land go to weasel cousin, who will sell it to a condo developer.

Nick McKane is fired right in front of Lanie. She might be in luck as he is the spitting image of the man Lanie described. She offers him a job as a “Husband”. He needs money for his daughter's art school tuition. This should work like a charm… well, maybe not.

Now the more time they spend together the more a connection is starting to feel real. Could they find a happy out come to this or will they go up in flames when the truth comes out?

Wolf Hunt by Paige Tyler

Remy Boudreaux is going to New Orleans on loan from Dallas for three weeks. He grew up here and knows all about odd things.  While he is out with his buddies in the French Quarter he runs into Triana (he had a crush on her in high school). He knows that there is something special with her but is afraid to move past casual after losing his first love.

Triana Bellamy is sure there is more to what is going on between her and Remy. But what she is not sure. She is home for a break and to see her mother. Triana is also looking into the death of her father.

But as she finds out more about her dads killing, and Remy gets deeper in the New Orleans SWAT department danger finds them. Remy's protective instincts kick in and he has to keep Triana safe. Now he may have to reveal his biggest secret (his wolf) ...and then hope Triana will love all of him.

I enjoyed this book and look forward to more.

All You Need (Need You #3) by Lorelei James

I can’t get enough of this series! Have you every disliked someone so much it might be because you wish they saw you? Well That is what is going on between Annika and Axl.

Annika Lund is a PR agent. But when she is asked (Told) she will be revamping the reputation of Axl Hammerquist she is at a loss. Their first few meetings didn’t go well and now is agent wants her is be Axl’s “Fake” Girlfriend. She is not sure she wants to do this. Annika doesn’t date much, so her family will take notice.

Axl Hammerquist is a Swedish hockey player that is on fire. However, his image is that of a playboy. He has been told he needs to change this and that Annika Lund will be his girlfriend. He doesn’t know what to think at first. So, he starts off as a pain in the ass but the more time he spends with her the more he wants it to be real.

Then real life intrudes into their relationship and they need to decide if they want to fight for what they found or go back to the way things were. If they fight, then they are going to have an uphill battle with her family.

SEAL Brotherhood: Lucas (Band of Bachelors #1) by Sharon Hamilton

I enjoyed this book, but wanted more at the end. I will be reading the next book in hopes for it.

Special Operator Lucas Shipley gets bad news that just keeps getting bigger. He thought this was just temporary but it looks like it is going to be permanent. His wife of 5 years’ files for divorce and finds a realtor to sell “their” homes. Now, he must move on with his life.

Marcy Gelland is hired by Lucas’s soon-to-be-ex and is told what an ass he is. She calls Lucas to get his signature on the paperwork. They meet and she starts to feel sorry for him, and not sure why.

Marcy goes up to visit one of the other properties that the soon-to-be-ex wants to get on the market asap. When she gets there, she finds Lucas.  He when to the cabin to get away and think. Now the sexy realtor is at his door. They start to talk and Marcy finds out she was misled about him. As she lets her guard down the fire between them ignites hot and bright.

Now that they have been together they need to figure out what comes next. But, when Lucas is called away for Seal duty and Marcy goes back to the city their worlds blow up. Can the new relationship last? Can Lucas save Marcy from her world blowing up?

Madly (New York #2) by Ruthie Knox

This is a fast and fun book. I loved it!

Allie Fredericks has gone to Manhattan to find out her mother’s secret. She is supposed to be planning their anniversary party. Now she finds her mother with a man that is not her father. What is she to do. She wants to see what her mother does next so she needs to find a way to stay there in the bar.  Then Winston Chamberlain walks in and her entire mission goes out the door.

Winston is a very organized man, he likes to keep everything in order. That includes his relationships. However, when he meets Allie his life goes messy. Now as he and Allie leave the bar together and make a list of wild things to do he is not so sure messy isn’t what he is looking for.

Can they find what they are looking for even if it is not what they thought they wanted?

Bottoms Up by Kate Deveaux

This is a very fun book! I loved all the drink names.
When Lexi walks into a bar down on her luck and doesn't know what to do next she sits at the bar. The bartender comes over and asks what she wants to drink. She let him pick. He knows how to pick the perfect drink. When she asks what it is called she can't believe it. Justin takes one look at Lexi and what to pick up her spirts as he sees lots of pain in her eyes.
When Lexi comes back to see Justin they realize the heat between them and explore each other for a night. However it is not enough.  Justin is going to teach Lexi about all his naught drink recipes and more.
