Texas Fandango Review by Cynthia D'Alba

So this book is going on at the same time as Texas Tango.  KC has been watching Drake for years and wants to find her happy ever after like some of her friends.  When Drake tells her about a vacation he was going to take but that he is not going now.  KC says she will go with him.  When he thinks about it he takes it and later can’t wait to take the vacation.  They agree to do the No strings, No expectation’s, and no holds barred for two weeks.  When they come back to their lives can they end the passion there or will they let the truth come out and end up with their happy ever after.

I love how the feelings are from both KC and Drake. When they go on the vacation they are full focused on each other.  It seems so natural to be together.  They learn more about each other and they both want more.  However neither wants to say they want more.   They are both trying to read the other and hope that a sign will keep them together.  I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

I am looking forward to the next book!

Home to Singing Trees 1/5/14 by Liz Flaherty

Yes I started and finished this book last night.  I could not put it down as I wanted a happy ending for everyone.
Sarah is trying to start new life for her, her daughter and her sister-in-law.  She has moved them to a new town and is going to be the housekeeper for the towns Doctor.  What she is not looking for is Love.
The town Doctor Liam lost his wife over a year ago and needs a woman to cook and clean for him, his daughter, father-in-law and brother.  He does not believe in Love anymore.
When Sarah and Liam start to get to know one another sparks fly. Only Sarah has a past that she does not want anyone to know.  When her stepbrother-in-law does not want to let her go and kidnaps her daughter can Sarah save her? Will Liam still want Sarah?  Will Sarah and her family need to run again?
I really enjoyed this book.

I know I am not good at this but just finished a new book and had to share.  Dark Flight by Cassi Carver.

Ok where to start.  I read Slayer’s Kiss and love it. I could not wait for the next book.  Out came Shadow Rising and loved it.  Once again I wanted more.  Then the Silverwing’s Sorcerous comes out. Now Dark Flight is here. I Love this series!

This time we find Kara, Gavin, and Julian working together to bring down Brakken.  Brakken is Gavin’s father and is the pure evil.  Brakken wants Kara for what she has done to his sons, he is also looking to make Gavin suffer with raising Gavin’s son as his own.  Kara is trying to help save Gavin’s son as well as the other women from Brakken; they also need to save her clan and themselves.  The only way to do this is to send Brakken to the abyss.

Kara is determined to help with the battle and Julian and Gavin want her to stay away.  Kara learns of ways to help and takes matters into her own hands.  The guys are not too happy about this when they find out. However Kara says Julian has no right over her after what he did to her.  Gavin just wants to keep her safe so helps her on her journey.  Kara goes through some big changes in the book but it has helped her grow.  She has the help from all her closest friends Abbey, Jaxon, the witch coven, and the clan.  Julian also goes through some big changes as he has to learn what life as a black wing is like and how to control his new powers.

So do they save the baby, the women and life as they know it?  Does Kara learn to control her new powers? Can Gavin come to terms with everything happening to him? What about Julian is he able to learn to live again?  I guess you will just have to read to find out.

I so can’t get enough of this series and can’t wait for more.  I look forward to what twist and turns are to come.

House Rules

House Rules Blog Tour Grand Prize Giveaway is going on right now at http://www.chloeneill.com/?p=2576.  I love this series and would tell you if you have not read any of them yet you should. House Rule is the 7th book in the series of Chicagoland Vampires. This book is about  Vampires .

In a city full of vampires, trouble never sleeps.

At the tender age of 27, Merit became a sword-wielding vampire. Since then, she’s become the protector of her House, watched Chicago nearly burn to the ground, and seen her Master fall and rise. Now she’ll see her mettle—and her metal —tested like never before.

It started with two . . . Two rogues vanishing without a trace. Someone is targeting Chicago’s vampires, and anyone could be next. With their house in peril, Merit and her Master, the centuries old Ethan Sullivan, must race to stop the disappearances. But as they untangle a web of secret alliances and ancient evils, they realize their foe is more familiar, and more powerful, than they could have ever imagined.

Enjoy reading!

1/15/13

So Christmas has gone and so has the start of the New Year.  I am getting very busy.  The doctors have said I can go back to work for up to 6 hours a day but I still have to go to PT and Pool PT for my knee.  Then there is the taking care of my boys and with them all going back to school I need to move faster.  Then I also feel like I am not getting to read as much as I would like.  I have a ton of book that I would love to read I just don't have much time.  I also know that there are many new books coming out this year that I just have to read.  I need to know what happens.  (Sometimes my husband thinks I think the people in my books I read are real).I have read some really good books so far this year.  I hope to find more time to read and let others know about them.

12/23/12

Here it is almost Christmas and the New Year and I am not getting any better at this.  My job is going good.  My knee is starting to get back to normal (it is just taking me longer then a normal person). My family is doing great and keeping me very busy.  I am still reading a lot and I wish I had more time to review the books I have read.  I am going to try to do better.  I would like to review at least one book a month next year.  I know I read more then that but I would like to share my love of reading and the books I read with others.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :-)

8/14/12

So I started this blog before I was back to work.  When I went back to work I thought I can keep this up and work.  Then work got really busy and I was working up to 70 hours a week.  I was told I needed a new knee not too long ago. OMG! I am not that old but we had tried everything else and this was the last option.  I then thought OK I guess let's do it.  I might be able to catch up on my blog and my reading.

So here I am after they have replaced my knee and all I can do is PT, read and watch TV. Oh yeah I keep falling asleep in middle of things.

I have read a lot of books but have not had the time to write about them.  I will not go into all the books that I have read from my last post, but I will tell you the last book I read was One Night Rodeo by Lorelei James.

I loved it!!!!!  I love all her books and this is just as good as the last one.  If you have not read any of Lorelei James books you should.  This book is about two strong willed and hard headed people.  Kyle and Celia.  They have been dancing around their attraction to each other for a while now. I don't want to give anything away so I will say just read the book.
