To tell the truth when I first started this book, I thought oh my am I going to like this book. By then end of the book I was like why I did even question if I was going to like this book.

I loved how the child was more or less the center of the story. He and is father had to change their names and go into hiding. This 5-year-old boy did it with only one issue, he would not speak to anyone. The love story on the side was good and I was pulling for them, really I was.

In this story there is just so much being hidden from others. It shows us that to have a good relationship all cards (or truths) need to be on the table. This little boy that has the biggest secret (truth) of all could have stopped everything if he had told someone, but he was scared. His father could have helped the teacher / girlfriend if he had told her how dangerous this really was. I could go on, but what if and should haves can’t be looked at as it is over and done. Hindsight is always 20/20.

You might see I don’t have any names in here, that is because the son and father had to change their names with the went into hiding. So, I left out all names. You will have to read this awesome book to learn them.

Cynthia has another great book here! I loved seeing Ben and Nora again, and the rest of Bens family that we meet in Rebecca and Charlotte books earlier.

Ben fell in love with Nora on the Trail moving to Oregon but, Nora was a mail order bride and promised to another. She refused to break that promise.

Now time has passed, and a lot has changed. Nora is a widow with a baby and trying to make it on her own. She is also very independent now.  Ben is determined to marry her and not let her get away this time, as there is no other man in the way. So, when a misunderstanding happens, he marries her right away. She is mad and going to make Ben work for this marriage. However, trouble comes knocking on her door from Nora’s late husbands’ family and Ben promises to keep them all safe. Can Ben keep the family he has wanted for so long safe, or will he lose it all?

I very much like this book. I felt I could totally relate to Caitlyn when it came to how one lives in 2020 to how one lives in 1880.

We start by meeting Caitlyn Larrabee in a waiting room, she is there to meet with Gabriel. Caitlyn is hoping to get her wings and move into heaven. However, Gabriel has other plans for her. He is sending her back to Earth to marry a man named Lucas Ramsey. Lucas made a heart wish, and she is to answer it. There are just some things she cannot talk about. First, she was killed in 2020 by her husband, second, she is an angel with angel hunters stalking her, third she has seven days for Lucas to fall in love with her. Caitlyn agrees and is sent back to 1880.

Lucas Ramsey is a cowboy in Golden, CO in 1880. He lost his wife and children to influenza six years earlier. He thinks he is ready to move on so, he orders a mail-order bride. When he picks Caitlyn up from the train station, he thinks there is something special about her but cannot put his finger on it.

Now the clock starts.

Will Lucas fall in love with Caitlyn? Will the Angel Hunters find her first and kill her? Will she be able to keep her secret, or will she lose all her angel powers?

I really wanted to knock Olivia into next week from the start of this book.  She made me mad. However, I did like the book.

Olivia is the manager of the Matchmaker Company. Her good friend Maggie is the owner and not too long ago married a client in Colorado. Olivia was finding mail order brides for men in the west. What got me about her is she deceived one of these men by posing as a bride. She was going to use the money to help her dying sick mother, but before the money got there her mother did die. She tells Maggie that she never intended to be a bride for the man and Maggie told her to get on the next train. She agrees and leaves the next day. However, a twist happens on her way to the train and she really does not think about it.

Tyler is looking for a wife as he is a widower and has a young baby, like months old. His wife died in childbirth. He needs to run his ranch and he cannot run it well this a baby on his hip. He sends money to Olivia so she can move to Colorado and become his new bride. He marries her and brings her home. Now the fun begins.

As they live and work together their feeling might be changing to love. Once the trouble that Olivia did not think much about catches up with her, she will have to make some choices. First does she tell her husband and ask for help. Second does she leave or stay. If she stays will all be ok? Once Tyler knows can he keep his family safe? Does he finally tell Olivia he loves her?  Will they make it out of this, or will they lose all they have worked for?

This is my first time reading a cookbook and I was not sure what to expect when I started it. However, I loved it. It has some very cute and lovely stories from the McKay family. I was so happy to read more about them. The recipes in here sound very good and I think there are a few I will try (I am a very picky eater.)

This book had so many unexpected twists that I just wanted more.  I was incredibly sad to hit the end of this book. This book also had me laughing and wishing I could be a fly on the wall there.

I have been trying to write this review but each time I start telling you all about what happens, and I do not want to ruin the story for you. I want you to read it. So, I delete what I wrote and start again, then I delete it again as I am giving too much away.

So here is what I will tell you….

Eve Coleman is a widow that needs to leave town and lay low, so she becomes a mail order bride. She brings along a woman named Brandi that becomes like a sister to her.

Cameron Neal is a marshal in Silver City and only wants to make is dying godfathers (the town Judge) wish come true. (The illness that the judge has is not real as he just wants Cameron married.)

Silver City Judge named Earl posts an ad for a mail order bride. However, it is for his godson not him (but that piece of info is missing in the ad.)

There are 3 bad brothers after Eve and Brandi and the brothers want the women dead.

Can a woman gambler and a marshal find love together with all this fun going on in their lives?  Will Eve and Cameron’s marriage survive when the truth comes out about Earl’s illness? Will the brothers find Eve and Brandi? If they do will they be able to kill them?

Marriage is not easy when everything is easy can Eve and Cameron last through all this or will it be the end?
